Careers

In the very olden days, a career was a job you were born into. You became a farmer, a fisher, a blacksmith, or whatever your parents had been, and your children would be the same (unless they wandered off to war or to start a new religion). In the more recent olden days, a career was forty years working in the same factory from high school graduation to retirement. But what is a career today?

Some people define their career as working in the same role / industry / field for their entire life. A career includes all the roles you undertake throughout your life - education, training, paid and unpaid work, family, volunteer work, leisure activities and more.

Today we get to choose what we want to be. For this assignment you will pretend you are graduating high school and plan on landing a killer job. You will research collages, degrees, and differnt jobs that might intrest you, and the best part of all is we will be using the internet for this assignment.

Just follow each link, and read the directions. We have all week to complete this asisgnment so work at your own pace as long as your working. 

I will assign everyone a patner. Each of you will have to do your own work, and choose your own career. You may choose similar careers (like a doctor and a nurse), or completely differnt careers, its your choice, as long you and your parnet do not have the exact same career.

Feel free to explor each site you vist, but be responsible and get your work done.
