Immigration (Cultures & Civilizations)

This WebQuest was created and designed for 3rd grade students.  The purpose of this Immigration WebQuest is to give students a historical perspective of the lives of immigrants during the 1800-1900's to today.  It provides students with an opportunity to think like a Historian. It should take 7 to 10 days to complete independently or as a group project.

What defines an American?  Is it our language? Is it our customs or holidays we celebrate?  Is it the food we eat or clothes we wear?  Or is it the music we listen to?  Look around your classroom and you will see that the question is not so easy to answer.  So how can we define an American?These are questions that will give students a head start to their historical quest.
