Residents of The White House

Introduction

The following activities is for students to understand the importance of finding primary sources to collect evidence of an event, time period, and ideas while developing memorization skills.

In order for students to fully understand and learn they would have to:

1. Understand what they know:

Before studying the president, the students would list all the president they know in order to know which ones to concentrate on

2. Figure out what they want to learn:

This step is designed to figure out what the students want to learn about the Presidents in terms of achievements or how he relates to certain events

3. Formulate an effective method:

In this process students would be able to creatively create different methods and concepts that would help them better understand each president instead of just memorizing names and dates

4. Understand what they have learned:

Ultimately, upon completing this study the students would discuss the methods they used with the other students and journal whether they believe it was effective
