True Explorers!

Have you ever been in a new environment? Picture yourself coming to a new world, meeting new people, and exploring new lands. How would you feel? This is what it felt like for the European settlers as they arrived in America. It must have been very exciting and terrifying to be in a new place.

What about the Native Americans? Can you imagine what it would be like to have your home interrupted with many unfamiliar visitors from around the world? That must have been scary! How would you feel?

In this project, you will get to explore the internet for different primary resources that show how these two sides must have felt during this time in their lives. Keep an eye out for clues that you can use to show your classmates what it could have been like for the settlers or the natives as they had their new encounters. Remember, be your own explorer!
