Middle Ages Castle Project

Do you know a castle took 2, 10, or even 50 years to build? First, you had to find the perfect defensible site. Second, you had to hire a Master architect and Master Builder. Finally you had to make sure you had lots of time and lots of money! One Master builder reported that he needed 400 masons,  2,000 less skilled workmen, 100 carts, 60 wagons and 30 boats; 200 quarrymen; 30 smiths; in addition to countless carpenters. The cost to build a castle was enormous!
