Task 1 A group member vaguely participated – without posting a single word for this task. A single choice has been posted and if there was feedback about the choice, the learner receives 6 pts. Three choices were offered and all were correct along with feedback.
Task 2 There is no feedback from the group member about the Web site findings. This task cannot be completed without searching for the offered URLs along with finding additional ones. The learner can get the points for the drag-and-drop activity once he/she does it. The learner found a number of the offered Web sites and looked through them perceiving them to be all the same. Grammatical mistakes in the posted feedback were found. Plus the idea was to receive complete thoughts in a few paragraphs and not simply Yes/No answers. The learner found the sites and collaborated on them. Adequate feedback was presented along with a personal list of useful word variations. The paragraphs reflect a complete understanding of the content and improvement on the fluency of the language.
Task 3 The learner simply reported that he/she read the data offered on the Web site; however, there is no participation in the discussion as to why the rules would apply to the specific examples that the group members have in front of them. The peer has been able to present his/her ideas during the discussion; however, improvement in presenting analysis about the rules that apply to each language variation and providing adequate arguments is needed. The learner is extremely comfortable with using the word variations. He/she is able to participate in the discussion with an ease and does provide adequate arguments.
Task 4 The first question that enquired a comment about the completed tasks was answered vaguely. The thoughts are not clear and a lot of fragments are used. Possible ways to change the tasks were not offered. This question was skipped. The first question was answered rather well. All of the questions were answered with a flow of thought. An improvement in presentation of ideas can be felt. The tenses used were grammatically correct.
