You determine the grade you receive on these assignments, not me. If you want the highest grade possible, look at the rubric (grading sheet) and decide what level of work you will put forth.

1. Rap: Write about mass and weight. The student did not write a total of 4 sentences, did not use correct grammar or sentence structure, and did not explain the difference between mass and weight. The student wrote 2 or 3 sentences about weight and mass but did not use correct grammar or sentence structure. The student did not explain the difference between weight and mass. The student wrote 2 complete sentences about both mass and weight, totaling 4 sentences. The sentences make sense and describe the difference between mass and weight. The student did not, however, use correct grammar or sentence structure. The student wrote 2 complete sentences about both mass and weight, totaling 4 sentences. The sentences make sense and describe the differences between mass and weight. The student used correct grammar and sentence structure.
2. Video and Real-life Examples The student has written less than 3 ideas about weight and mass, and most of the sentences are fragments or run-ons with many grammatical errors. The student has written fewer than 4 ideas about weight and mass and has several grammatical errors. Sentence structure is lacking. The student has written 4-5 ideas about weight and mass and has written mostly in complete sentences with few grammatical errors. The student has written 6 ideas (does not have to be 6 sentences, necessarily) about weight and mass (3 about weight, 3 about mass). The student used correct grammar (capitalization and punctuation) and correct sentence structure(no run-on sentences or fragments).
3.& 4. Venn Diagram The student did not create a Venn diagram at all. The student created a Venn diagram, but failed to label the diagram circles "Mass" and "Weight" and failed to complete at least 1 idea for each circle. The middle circle was left blank. The student created a Venn diagram with at least 2 ideas per circle. The diagram circles are labeled "Mass" and "Weight" and the middle circle has at least 1 idea in it. The student has created a Venn diagram, in either PowerPoint or Word, with 3 ideas per circle. The circles are labeled "Mass" and "Weight", and the diagram contains a minimum of 1 idea in the middle circle. The student is not required to use complete sentences here; fragmented thoughts are acceptable.
5. Weight and Mass Lesson and Activity The student did not complete a chart at all. The student turned in an incomplete chart, and there are math errors. The student turned in a completed chart. All blanks are filled in but there a some math errors. The student turned in a completed chart. All blanks are filled in CORRECTLY. There are NO math errors.
