Using the rubric below, you will be graded on your persuasive letter to Farmer Mack.  Remember, in your letter you need to think of as many reasons as you can for Farmer Mack to leave the apple trees.  You need to use your Apple Superhero memory to draw on what you have learned and convince Farmer Mack that the apple trees are still useful!  Keep in mind the life cycle of the apple tree through the seasons, the animals and insects that the apple trees support, and the affect that they have on our environment, and our diets.  Also, if you have any idea why Farmer Mack's apple trees might not have many apples on them this Fall, make sure that you share with him so that next year he can have more apples!
