A seed needs light and water to grow.
When a seed begins to grow it is called a seedling or young plant.
A seedling or young plant is alive and grows into a bigger plant.
Seeds can be found inside fruits and pods.
We use some seeds for food and for reproduction of foods.
When you split a seed you can seed a little seedling inside.
