Cultural Cuisine in the Cafeteria!

At the end of this unit, students will better understand the nutritional data as presented in My Pyramid including the six major classes of nutrients, proteins, and carbohydrates: simple, complex, fats, vitamins, minerals and water.  Students will be able to relate nutritional data to various restaurant cuisines and cultural differences in food choices.  Students will also be able to relate this data to food served in the school cafeteria as well as be able to make better nutritional choices.
