SS1E2: The student will explain that people have to make choices about goods and services because of scarcity (Needs and Wants)
The purpose of this activity was to provide primary grade students the opportunity to explore using higher level thinking skills. Comparing and contracting is an effective method for children to differentiate concepts and ideas. Upon completion of this venture, students should be able to explain what people need to survive across the globe. We all need air, food, water, shelter, and clothing regardless to our cultural background. This venture can also be an introductory task to a multicultural unit. Students get to learn, first hand, how all people have the same wants and needs.
