EED 465 Charting the Course: Social Studies Webquest (Benchmark Assessment

The following web quest pages will present fun and entertaining ways of introducing one or more of the standards from each of the five content areas in social studies- American History, World History, Civics/Government, Geography, and Economics.

In the section on American History you will find information, activities, and worksheets related to teaching first grade students about Martin Luther King.

In the section on World History you will find information, activities, work sheets, and coloring sheets related to teaching first grade students about the civilizations of Native Americans.

In the section on Civics/Government you will find information, activities, and worksheets related to teaching first grade students about community helpers such as police officers, EMT, and firefighters.

In the section on Geography you will find information, activities, and worksheets related to teaching first grade students about agriculture and plants that are grown in the communities of the students.

In the section on Economics you will find information, activities, and worksheets related to the different types of jobs that there are and what they do for the community as well as the home.
