In the Midst of Crisis.... Creating an Editorial Policy for a High School Newspaper
Task
You will be writing newspaper policies to cover several different areas:
- Freedom of the Press
- Role of Building Administration
- Purpose of the Newspaper/Yearbook
- Content
- Controversial Issues
- Obituaries
- Prior Review/Restraint
A list of guiding questions as well as resources will be provided. You can always search for policies from other schools, but you will be expected to write your own policies rather than just copy policies from another school. Keep in mind the key issues that arose last school year when you write your policies.
