What is alliteration?

  • Alliteration is sometimes defined as when two or more words in a sentence begin with the same letter or sound.
  • Many tongue twisters use alliteration. (Ex. Sally sells sea shells by the shiny sea shore, Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, or Daniel danced daringly darting into the wall.)
How will we use alliteration in the activity?
  • In a sentence
  • In a short story
  • Through illustration
