This WebQuest is designed for 9 grade students to explore The culture of Sudi Arabia. Students will search various websites, write an essay with the information they found, and design a multimedia presentation as a final project.
Teacher Introduction:
This lesson came from our interest and desire to teach High school social studies. It is intended to be a fun exercise for both you and your students, giving you all a chance to break away from the textbook and be creative with your learning.
Learners:
Grade: 9 - 12
This Web quest is intended for an audience of 9th grade World History students. This is for students that are willing to work together to complete a task and gain knowledge from the process.

This web quest covers content associated primarily with social studies, but may also be continued in life skills, computers, or language arts.
There is a lot of different aspects of Saudi Arabia culture that should be reviewed before the project is assigned. The project will probably take about two weeks of class time for students to complete, but student progress should be checked occasionally so that working time is accurate to the learner. Spending extra time in the library or computer lab may be necessary for students to put together their presentation. Allow students to work on their projects during the class time,
because the assignment is a group project so students may not get a chance to work on it with their classmates after school or on weekends, so class time is essential.
Check that all links are working, and provide examples of past projects (posters/powerpoints) so that the students understand exactly what is being asked of them.
Make sure you are around to answer all questions that students may have and be open to new suggestions for presentation ideas. There shouldn't be many restrictions because student creativity should be embraced through this assignment.
