Medieval Times

This
WebQuest is intended for student between third and fifth grades.  Students can do the WebQuest individually, or
pair up and work in teams to work thought the information on the Medieval
Times.  When it comes to make the coat of
arms, or castles the students will make their own in the art room.

 With this WebQuest I do 2 different art
activities. First we make our own Coat of Arms, this usually take around 2
hours to complete. The other activity that I do, is having the student first
draw out a castle on paper, then make the castle out of clay.  I give them between 30 to 60 minutes to draw
their castle, and between 60 to 90 minutes to create their clay castle.  When the clay is done in the kiln we spend
one more class to paint or glaze the castles.
