Carson, Pirie, Scott Building by Sullivan
Teacher Page
This one is part of a series of web-quests drawing an introduction on Modern architectural history intended for Italian students. It will focus on the formal qualities of Modern architecture—an emphasis on shape, form, especially at the expense of decorative embellishment and local style — as well as its ideological faith in utopian rationalism and functionalism, as the core elements of this movement.
