Rap the Rights

This lesson is created for an interdisciplinary LA/SS class.  I have created this webquest for large 6th grade classes.  I have found different websites that explain the amendments in different ways.  This lesson was created for all students.  Because the websites are on different levels it is a good way for all students, regardless of level, to get a good understanding of the amendments.  Students are to be put into groups of about 3 (we have about 46 students per class so some of the groups are a little larger).  I will assign the harder amendments to the more able students.

The Bill of Rights obviously goes with the SS aspect of this class, but the writing of the lyrics/rhyming goes along with the literature side of the class.  It is actually a really neat project.

I decided to do a webquest because the class is so large and it gives them the opportunity to research for themselves.  I did not want to spoon feed them the information and webquests are way more fun to use than textbooks.
