WebQuest

A Journey through Canadian Education

Teacher Page

This WebQuest is intended to show students some of the important influences in the history of the Canadian educational system. It does so using the idea of a time machine, which takes us back through history to show students the important people, places, events, technology, and reasoning involved in the educational system. The links included go to different cites, mainly documents, often run by Canadian government groups, but also by independent organizations. Some of the links provided are for games and pictures and should be checked by the teacher or parent for appropriateness for the students involved. Not every link is intended to be read in full, some have valuable information in certain areas and the rest of optional - a way for students to guide their own learning if they choose. Many of the places that are linked provide a place for students to begin and following other links on those pages will provide even more information. Sources are listed on the attached page.
