This lesson would target those children that need a little extra motivation when asked to complete a task, by providing them with motivation. The lesson has children develope connections (CN) between math and everyday concepts, like how many fish a shark eats. It also allows the child to demonstrate fluency in mental mathematics (ME), by having them solve each of these problems without a calculator. The students will critically assess information accessed through the use of a variety of technologies (C3). They will also use technology to solve problems (watch the videos to learn how to add and subtract-C6).
