We all as a teacher are well aware that the majority of students are not interested in writing an essay, becasue they usually don't know what exactly they should do while they are writing. To my mind, we have to inform them writing is not just the contect and the topic, in writing and essay some other factors such as using good and broad range of vocabularies are important, using comples structures, puctuation, etc are crucial. I think in this way they may get more eager to write.

Here lots of videos and links and even an aricle are given enable them to get more familiar with the topic and the way they have to write an essay. They may help them feel more comfortable with writing skill.
