Word + Word = COMPOUND WORDS

Topic:  Compound Words

Age
range:  7 year old students (1st grade)

Subject:  Language Arts

Duration:  short term (from Monday Nov 12nd to Thursday
Nov 15th, 2011). A 4 day period.

Objectives:  

•        
Students learn how compound words are formed.

•        
Ss learn to spell correctly and identify compound words.

•           Ss can use compound words when creating sentences and identify them in the
sentence structure.

•        
Ss start to use print or digital dictionaries.

•         Ss are able to answer the Big Q stated at the beginning of this web quest.

•         Ss are able to present a final project about creating compound words
flashcards from scratch.
