  1. Target Learners
    This webquest is designed for Senior High School students. In using the webquest, the students must be able to compile some information that can be found in internet-based sources. In order to do so, the students are required to have a basic knowledge of internet. This webquest helps to develop students' reading and writing skills.

  2. Learning Objectives
    The objective of this webquest is to help the students creating a report text based on website sources about natural disasters.

  3. Tasks and Processes
              This webquest gives task to the students to write a report text about natural disasters, they will work in a group of  4 students and each student work in writing about Earthquakes, Floods, Volcanic Eruptions or Tsunamis. Their writing will be sent to Public Relation Division of BMKG for writing competition that held by the agent, and they will get Rp 2.000.000 for each writing that wins the competition.
              The process include in this webquest are, first, the students will be divided into groups consist of 4 students. In groups, they have to decide on which report about natural disasters they will work. They search for some sources provided in the webquest, take a note the information from the sources and write a good report text.

  4. Evaluation
    The students writing will be evaluated in the way of their writing's content, organization, vocabulary and language use. The maximum score will be 90.

    NOTE:
    For further task, teacher can ask the students to create a website/blog to publish the students writing and consider it as the official website of BMKG. Teacher will publish all of the students' writing, but the teacher has to choose the winner of the writing competition and announce it on the website/blog.
