Deforestation

You will be expected to complete several tasks over the next 2 weeks.  Prior to beginning this webquest, in groups of five have seleected an area of focus for your research. You will work with this group to complete the first two (2) tasks. 

Tasks:

1)      Explain why much of Guyana is forested whilst many of the Caribbean islands have lost a great deal of their original forest.

2)      Identify and assess the effects of destroying the forest. Suggest reason why the forest should be preserved.

3)      Identify and assess different measures which could be used to lessen the effects of deforestation.

4)      Keep an ongoing journal detailing events from forestry activities in your country.

Culminating activity: Creat a role play of the Top Hill community highlighting the causes and effects of deforesation
