Task
TASK:
- What is more important for a film's success --- musical score or special effects?
- Can we watch a film with only special effects and little or no musical score throughout the film?
It is your responsibility to convince your classmates why special effects have a larger impact than musical score on the success of a film. You will achieve this by completing research utilizing the various websites provided in the process section of this WebQuest. You will then participate in a classroom debate where you will be able to share your viewpoints with your classmates and try to persuade them that special effects are more important than musical score in the success of a film.
THE EMPIRE:
It is your responsibility to convince your classmates why musical score can have a larger impact on a film than special effects. You will achieve this by completing research utilizing the various websites provided in the process section of this WebQuest. You will then participate in a classroom debate where you will be able to share your viewpoints with your classmates and try to persuade them that musical score is more important than special effects in order for a film to be successful.
- Each group will have access to the resources from their opponent's web site in order to prepare for the debate.
- Each group will be designated a specific time period in order to complete their arguments and answer questions from the teacher/moderator.
- The teacher/moderator will determine the winning group of the debate with a critical analysis of both sides of the presentations.
