Forecasting the Weather

This is the job of your dreams, to be able to forecast the weather on TV in your hometown.  The meteorologist and local weather personality has just been offered an anchor job with the Weather Channel in Atlanta, Gerogia.  A replacement needs to be found immediately.  The station will begin interviews and auditions in a few days.

You have all the necessary credentials, but decide to call a friend to help you prepare for the audition.  Your focus is to prepare an accurate daily weather report and a 3 day forecast.  You are a little "rusty" about the parts necessary to describe and predict the weather and need to do some research.  Reviewing websites, collecting weather data, reading weather maps and watching and reading daily weather reports and forecasts is how you plan to prepare for your audition. 

For the audition you will need to prepare an up to the minute description of the daily weather and predict the weather for the next 3 days based on the evidence from a weather current weather map.  You will need to complete a story board or power point with a map and a script of what you will say during the audition broadcast.  The script will need to detail your knowledge of weather:  indentify the components and data of daily weather, identify and describe frontal systems, air masses and pressure systems that are influenceing the weather and what weather to expect from those conditions for the next 3 days.
