Discovery of DNA

The students can be in groups or by themselves and they will replicate the DNA double helix, but will substitute the nucleotides with candy. The students will use the same candy or colors to match up and can use twizzlers for the base. This activity will help reinforce how DNA is matched up and replicated, and also is a tasty treat.
