Algebra In The Real World

Students must use this Web Quest to provide information and research for their presentation to the classroom and use Microsoft Excel to create examples and show results. All information must relate to the topic that you selected and the specific career that was drawn.

Your task will be to re-evaluate your idea of real world uses for algebra. You and your partners should be able to present your findings to the class using examples which you have created from Excel, and show others that the career you chose will require use of mathematics - more specifically algebra - to complete its tasks. Also, this lesson will teach you valuable skills in usage of Excel. These skills can be used in many different areas and careers, and will be very useful to you as you go through life.
