Why WebQuests?
Task
Your looking for new challenge for your students. You have a multitude of learning styles & abilities to deal with. You need something that will allow you to differentiate your instruction. You want to get your students immersed in their learning and working on something meaningful.
Then you hear about the WebQuest & it seems like it will be the perfect new challenge for your students.
You share the idea with your colleagues & they are enthused about WebQuests as you. Together you & your colleagues sit down & choose a few topics that everyone needs to cover throughout the year. Each person chooses a a topic & creates a WebQuest. Next time you meet with your colleagues you find you have a whole bunch of cool internet based investigations available to incorporate into your classroom.
