Where Are These People in Tennessee?

The Govenor of Tennessee has urgently requested your help on finding the important people of Tennessee. If you are up to the task there are 3 steps you will need to take. Pack your bags and get ready for a great adventure.

First - You will meet your fellow geographers and discover who is missing and what group number you are.

 

Second - You will receive your instructions on how to complete your mission.

Group 1 - You have been asked to help find Miley Cyrus.

Group 2 - You have been asked to help find Elvis Presley.

Group 3 - You have been asked to help find William Blount.

Group 4 - You have been asked to help find Bessie Smith.



Third - Each team member will have a different task

* Presenter - You will present the results and poster to the class

* Map maker - You will find a picture of the city your person is from to go on the poster. You will also find what is right of the city, left of the city, above the city, and below the city. You will also need to find a city that is near yours as well as far away from yours.

* Recorder - You will be in charge of writing a short introduction on who your person is and why they are famous for the poster.

* Photographer - You will be in charge of finding a picture of the person you are looking for and a picture to show the reason they are famous. You will also need to make a missing person ad for the poster.

* Historian - You will need to find why the city you are researching is important to your person for the poster. What are some important places in your city?
