HAVING FUN WITH READING

      Explore the first web site suggested to you and spend enough time looking at and reading (if you prefer to do it immediately) the different stories designed for all levels and get familiar to it.

      The next step is to visit the link that takes you to the story I suggested you to read and work on (Wind Song)and think about the following questions before you read:

       What do you think the story will be about?

      What do the images and title tell you?

      What can you infer about the woman in the pictures?

      Is she happy or sad in the story?

      Read the story and check if your predictions were true.

      After reading, please download and print the first PDF attachment and work on getting the main idea of the story. Remember that you do not need to know every single word to understand, and the main idea should be a sentence.

      After you write the main idea, please work on those pieces of texts that offer you examples and details of the main idea and write them on the fish bones.

      Then, choose a character in the story, the one that most called your attention and mention the main traits you can get from him/her and mention the behavioral facts that could explain those traits. To do this task you should download and print the second pdf format.

      After that, on the third format, you will mention the main features of the text (beginning, characters, problem, solution, ending).

      Finally, you will write and send me a paper in which you transform the story from the problem on. Be creative and figure out what other problem, solution and ending you could provide to the story. (the beginning remains the same). Be sure to illustrate your new story.
