Animal Habitats

1.     Your teacher will put you in groups of three.

2.    As a group decide on three of the following animals to research:

3.    Assign each member a role:
        a.    Food expert
        b.    Environment expert
        c.    Characteristics expert


4.    Fill out the appropriate worksheet for your role using the websites to get your information.

5.    Work as a group to design the perfect habitat at the zoo for each animal.  Take into consideration all      the information you found when researching the animal.  Write up a report that describes each habitat in detail.  Be sure to explain each choice made.

Note: each habitat must include at least two details and explanations from each expert

6.    Design a poster showcasing your habitats that will be displayed for the Zoo Board (class).  As a group, you will present your reports and poster to the Zoo Board.  The Board will vote on how close your habitats come to meeting your animals’ needs.  The group with the highest score at the end of the presentations will win.
