Rock On! Discovering the Rock Cycle

Your goal is to complete the handout (found on the Task page) using all the information that you learn on your journey through this WebQuest. After you are done exploring, you will use this research to help you create a 4 page virtual poster presentation to show to your classmates. 

On this handout, you will need to answer each of the questions. Please be sure to write in complete sentences, give specific details and/or examples,  and use your own words.  After you have recorded all the necessary information on your handout, you will then take all the facts, figures, and other important data and create your Glogster project presentation. 

On the back of your handout or a separate sheet of paper, be sure to document which of the following resources provided that you have used to obtain your information:

  • The Rock Cycle #1, Be sure to click on each of the buttons to find out even more information!
  • Rock Cycle #2, Move your cursor over the arrows to find out what different process occur for each type of rock within the rock cycle!
  • Rock Cycle # 3, (Rock and) roll your cursor over the diagram to find out more about each type of rock and to see some cool animations!
  • Rock Cycle #4, Pay close attention to the words in boldface type!
  • Rock Cycle #5, Follow the arrows to see how the rocks are all interconnected with each other. The rock cycle never ends!
