Process

1. You will be broken up in to pre-assigned pairs , and assigned either to Group A or Group B.  The groups correspond to the animals/insects you will be researching.

2. Your pair will be given two worksheets, one for each animal or insect to be investigated.  Working together, you will use the internet resources provided to answer the questions about each animal or insect. Also, check out the list of key words in the resources area.

3.  After the worksheets are completed, you will collect poster board from the front of the room and begin to make your poster.  Remember, this poster is aimed at both showing your knowledge of the animal or insect you studied, and proving that the animal/insect should be moved either to the side of the zoo for creatures that look like their parents at birth, or creatures that do not.  You must include the information from at least 3 of your questions, and at least 2 new facts that the worksheet did not ask for.  In addition, a life cycle must be made for each animal or insect.  The life cycle should include drawings and labels of each stage of the animal or insect's life cycle.  An example of a life cycle drawing is included in the resources below.

4. It is now time to join your partner and begin your research.  You and your partner should work together throughout your research, worksheet answering, and poster making.  Remember, part of this excersise is learning to work efficiently with other people.  Ask each other questions, and help one another to create the best possible result!
