You will be divided in small groups by your instructor. Then, you will be given 45 minutes in the lab to find information on the Web-links provided below. Once you have collected all the information to complete the questionnaire, create a "poster" to somehow illustrate St. Patrick's Day. (Feel free to use our library resources if available in your site.)

Saint Patrick's Day Questionnaire:

1. What was Saint Patrick's real name, and where was he originally from?
2. How did Saint Patrick end up in Ireland?
3. What is the meaning of the phrase used by Saint Patrick, "Erin Go Bragh?"
4. Why is the symbolism related to "the shamrocks," "the snakes," and "the Leprechaums?"
5. How is Saint Patrick's Day celebrated in Ireland and the United States?
6. What do people eat as part of this celebration? Find how one of traditional dishes is prepared.

The day of the class discussion, don't forget to bring your "poster" to class and review the information you get to actively participate in your class presentation.
