Many publishers provide resources about the books they publish.  Check out the one for the publisher of your book.  Here are some common ones.  If yours isn't here, do a google search for your publisher.
Random House:  http://www.randomhouse.com/teachers/
Scholastic:  http://www2.scholastic.com/browse/tresourcegrade.jsp?gradeId=19
Candlewick Press:  http://www.candlewick.com/default.asp

Some other resources provide lessons organized by book titles.  Take a look at some of these:
State of California Cyberguides:  http://www.sdcoe.k12.ca.us/Score/cyberguide.html

Here are some collections of author websites.  Take a look at some of these:
Web English Teacher Author Resources:  http://www.webenglishteacher.com/ya.htm

Try a google search for your author's name and check out a few of the resources that turn up.

Go to the ReadWriteThink.org website at
 http://www.readwritethink.org/lessons/index.asp?grade=0&strand=0&engagement=0

Another good site is WebEnglishTeacher at http://www.webenglishteacher.com/#

And one more. . .The Gateway:   http://www.thegateway.org/

Try to locate lesson plans about your book or about an element of literature that relates to your book.  For example, you could try "foreshadowing.

Check out these suggestions for creating good questions at Literacy Matters:  http://www.literacymatters.org/adlit/questioning/intro.htm
