Defending the Amendments

Convincing the Fathers of America to accept the amendments made to their work will not be an easy task. Taking a genuine interest in learning about their decision to add the Bill of Rights will be the first step in earning their trust. Develop a clear plan to educate them while keeping their identities hidden and maybe you will be able to save our nation. During each step of your planning, one Private I will need to keep a detailed journal with the date and each decision or discovery that your team makes. This will be included in the President's Book of Secrets as well as your plan and story of your journey with the Founding Fathers.


Research and begin to memorize the amendments in the Bill of Rights

1. What might have lead to the Framers of the Constitution to include these provisions?


Plan a way for the Framers to demonstrate to you the need for the Bill of Rights
1. How can they show, not just tell, you about their necessity?

Research and begin to memorize amendments 11 - 27
1. Discover the 17 amendments added to the Constitution after the Bill of Rights. To understand their true purpose, you will need to understand them inside and out!

Plan a way for your to demonstrate to the Framers the need for each of the amendment 11 - 27
1. How can you show, not tell them, about their necessity?
2. Will you move through them one by one or group some together?


Execute these plans
1. Create a presentation, website, poster, journal, video, podcast, etc. that documents not only your plan, but also all of the information that you learn and show to our visitors from the past.
2. Your goal is to have the most creative and inconspicuous plan that will be added to the President’s Book of Secrets.
3. Beware...there is a strong potential for disturbances to your plan!


Do not forget to keep a journal of each day’s work and ideas!
