First and foremost, you can work with one other person.  You will be completing this tas with the class in the computer labs on our scheduled time slot.  All you will need to bring with you to the computer lab is a piece of paper and something to write with.

Now that we are in the computer lab, let me tell you specifically your task.  We will be reading A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens beginning next week.  I want you to get acquinted with who Charles Dickens was and also I want you to get acquainted with A Christmas Carol.  You and your partner, should you choose one, will be going on a littel treasure hunt on the world wide web.  I will guide you through a few websites that you will write fun and interesting facts down.  You will also have the chance to complete extra points activities that you can complete at your own risk.  You do not need an abundance of facts, just enough to present your findings.  Once you have completed this task, you and your partner will compile a list of facts on a poster board that you find interesting and that you think your classmates will find interesting.  You will present your findings to the class.

Begin your treasure hunt with the following website on Charles Dickens:

  1. http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/bleakhouse/animation.shtml
  2. http://www.sdcoe.k12.ca.us/score/dickens/dickenstg.html
  3. http://www.sdcoe.k12.ca.us/score/dickens/dickenstg.html

If you feel as if you have gathered enough information you can move on the following links on A Christmas Carol:

  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Christmas_Carol
