Shaping History: CNMI Governors

Process

Directions:
Students will work in teams of two (2). Each student is to go to blogger.com and open an account. Each student is responsible for completing the Maze of Taga, the Time-Line of the CNMI Governors, Match that Governor, and at the end the whole class will have a Class Discussion.

Create a Blog:
Students will go to www.blogger.com and create an account. Students are familiar with Blogs so every student is able to open up an account. If not, student is always welcome to seek help ( must ask 3 before me). This task will help students develop an understanding of what a Blog is. This blog will be used for Reflections after every task and for assessment purposes.

Maze of Taga:
Students are to visit the website provided and get a brief history lesson on Taga. Then after learning who Taga is the students will help Taga find his way home through the Maze of the Jungle.

Timeline:
Students are to complete the Timeline of the CNMI Governors in chronological order. Students must include a photo of the Governor and the dates when they served as Governor. After completing this task they must log into their Blogs and post a reflection answering the following questions:
 

What they did and what they found interesting?
 

What would they do differently?
 

What did they learn?
 
Go to www.mnemograph.com and create an account to start your timeline.
 
Match That Governor:
Students are to match the Governors to their political party symbol that they are from. This task will help students understand and learn about the political parties and their symbols. After visiting the links provided, See Attachment #2. Cut and paste “Match That Governor” to a word document and use drawing tools to draw lines from the Governor to their respective parties.
