Instructions to Contractors   (Members 1 & 2,  30 minutes)

Your task is to :     

1) Calculate the volume of concrete material needed to build a children's play tunnel with the measurements given above  (Hint: Remember that the cylinder is hollow).

2)  You are also to calculate the cost of the material given that 1 mof material costs $ 230.

3) Click the link of your group's scribblar room and show all your diagrams and calculations clearly in on the page (you may use the drawing tool or the draw shapes function for diagrams and workings).

Instructions to Designers      (Members 3 & 4, 30 minutes) 

 Your task is to:

1) Calculate the volume of paint needed to paint the whole outer surface of the children's playhouse including the roof and door given that 1 litre of paint can cover 3.2 m2  of the playhouse.

 2) Calculate the cost of the paint given that 1 litre of paint costs $36.

 3) Click the link of your group's scribblar room and show all your diagrams and calculations clearly in on the page (you may use the drawing tool or the draw shapes function for diagrams and workings).

Deliverables: Each group will enter all working and diagrams (you may use the drawing tool in scribblar or the draw shape function for diagrams and workings) into your assigned scribblar room. You may commuicate with your group mates through the scribblar chat function. Members 1 & 2, enter working on page 1, Members 3 & 4 on page 2 and ALL MEMBERS to do their reflection on page 3

All group work will be marked according to the rubric given in the evaluation section.
