Save the Rainforest
Process
- Make sure you use the websites that were provided to do your research and complete your brochure.
- Go on the virtual tours, explore the websites, and gain an understanding the importance of protecting the rainforest. Be sure to check all web addresses under each of the following headings: Introduction, Task, and Process.
- Find out what kind of creatures and plants live in the rainforest, and what threatens their existence.
- As you read information be sure to record what you feel you may want to share with others or what will be helpful to you when creating your informational brochure. Use the graphic organizers provided on this page to help you record and organize your research. There are two different graphic organizers below, one for the rainforest and another for rainforest animals and plants.
- Complete the "Questions About the Rainforest" sheet (found below) to help you record and organize some important facts you may want to include in your brochure.
- Once you have all your information, facts, and pictures begin to create your own informational brochure to help save the rainforest.
- Use the "Stages of Writing" document to help you when you create a well written informational and informative brochure.
