- Collect dried sticks and kindling for your fire.
- Arrange the kindle in a small ball to start the flame in a fire pit.
- Arrange the sticks into a teepee tent shape over the kindling. (The kindling should fill up the inside of the teepee).
- Light the kindling and feed more to the fire to have the sticks catch flame.
- (*optional) Roast marshmallows for a nice treat.
- When the fire has died down and gone out throw sand onto the ashes.
- Remove the ashes from the fire pit safely and spread them in a large area that isn't visited frequently.
