Activity # 3:

Explore the links you have in resource 8 and 9. You will be visiting an official web site and a non- official web site of two well-known bands. Read the info they present and get ideas to be able to create YOUR own band. Then, go to link 10 (Word document) and complete the same chart in Task 2 but with the information of your own pop band. After completing the chart write a short biography.

Activity # 4

Now you will be exploring two new websites, to explore three new web sites, but this time just concentrate on  the photos, the kind of clothes the singers wear, etc.  The links are number 11 and 12. Once you have an idea about the singers' style:

Design the outfit for one of the members of your pop band.  You can either draw a figure or make one, using pictures cut out from newspapers or magazines.

Go to link 13 ( word document) and write a description of what your pop star is wearing, what are his/her likes and dislikes, and a short description of “A day in the life of this pop star."

FINAL TASK: PRESENTATION

You have to make a collection of the work done during the project and present it in the form of a magazine or “fanzine” which can be displayed in class, or photocopied and a copy given to each student.

Items that have to be included in the fanzine are:

-         A selection of some pop bands biographies, with pictures of the band ( From Activity 2)

-         Your own pop band and all the information you wrote about it. ( Activity 3)

-         The profile of the pop star and his outfit ( Activity 4)
