The environment

Lesson 1: Environmental problems.

• Click on link Nº 1 ( Understand and protect our home planet)  and read about what is damaging our planet.  Then do the activity in link Nº 2 ( True or False?).

• When you are finished, click on link Nº 10 and discuss in pairs  what the pictures show. Be ready to report to the class.

Lesson 2: Recycling.

• Watch the video below in link Nº 3.  What tips does the girl mention to go greener?  Take notes and be ready to share them with the class.

• Click on link Nº 4 ( Why should I recycle) to learn more about the importance of recycling. 

• Then do the activities in link Nº 11 and carry out the survey to find out how green your classmate is.

Lesson 3: Solutions and Poster.

• Read the information on the websites from links Nº 5 to 9 that provide solutions to the environmental problems and start collecting ideas for your poster.
 
• Create a simple sketch of what your poster will look like.  Make sure all the requirements are present.


• Team with 3 people to complete the final task.


• Remember, your poster must include:

Ø      A creative title that makes people want to know what your poster is about.

Ø      Environmental problems/solutions shown in pictures.

Ø      Phrases that encourage people to be helpful.

Ø      Lots of colour to make it appealing.
