Energy Skate Park

Explore simulations of potential and kinetic energy using a skateboard on various types of tracks. Complete the requirements found in the Energy, Force, and Motion Basics worksheet. You will each use an individual computer, but since your team members are grouped near each other in the computer lab, you can work together as needed.

You will use the interactive bar graphs and pie graphs to compare the levels of potential energy and kinetic energy at various points along the track.

Decide which track you would like to recreate for your individual portion of your team skate park model. Be sure to take notes to justify your design.

Get together with your team members. Discuss and justify whether you think the simulation aided your understanding of the physics concepts. You will use these discussions in your rationale for your PowerPoint presentation.
