Malcolm X: Research Assignment

You will need to use the resources listed on this website to find out information about Malcolm X.

Once you have that information, you will need to explain:

1. The background of Malcolm X
2. Malcolm X's ideas
3. The action Malcolm X took on those ideas
4. The result of the action Malcolm X took
5. Your personal opinion on Malcolm X's ideas and actions.  Include your thoughts on the way he fought for human rights.

STEP 1:

Work your way through the resource links at the bottom of this page and take notes on the information you find out that answers the things you need to explain. Write your notes in your book so that you can easily find information when you come to create your poster.

HINT: Use the notes in your book from our lessons on Malcolm X to help with your research!

STEP 2:

Back in class, work through the plan of how to write for social studies handout you will be given.  You can use this to put together your paragraphs that will be included in your poster.

STEP 3: Type up your edited paragraphs to complete your poster.  You will need to include a minimum of 2 pictures on your poster.
