Discovering the Renaissance

20131111112655hanap.jpg

The Renaissance was a time of great advances and exploration in art. Following is a list of artists and resources to get you started. Don't forget to investigate the print materials (fancy name for books!) as well. While you read about these artists and look at their creations, think about the following:

  • Where and when did this artist live?
  • What is this artist most famous work?
  • What is your favorite work of this artist and why?

Michelangelo
Leonardo di Vinci
Boticelli
Ghiberti

If you are interested in an artist that you do not see on this list, please ask Mrs. Cushing. We could not list them all and the library has lots of biographies!
