NON-VIOLENCE AND PEACE DAY by Lola Cubillo

The School Day of Non-violence and Peace is an observance founded by the Spanish poet Lorenzo Vidal Vidal in 1964. It is observed on January 30 every year, on the anniversary of the death of Gandhi. Its basic and permanent message is: "Universal Love, Non-violence and Peace. Universal Love is better than egoism, Non-violence is better than violence, and Peace is better than war"

 This is a demanding activity and requires experienced use of ITC by pupils, in groups. Taking as a model a presentation made by the teacher, they have to find images related to the lyrics of John Lennon�s song �Imagine� to insert in their own presentation. Later, they must sing the song while showing their presentation.
