Introduction
Welcome to the Colonial America WebQuest! During this WebQuest, you will research the creation of the colonies that would eventually become the first states in a new country named the United States of America. Most Americans know what some of the first 13 colonies were but they do not know the history behind how and why the colonies were founded. This WebQuest will help you answer the Essential Question: How did the colonies' location influence their development and how did their development influence our young country?
Some people claim that history is boring and irrelevant, but remember that you need to know the backstory to understand the world around you. Without the colonies and the American Revolution, America would never exist!
