Introduction
A piece of art? An impressive achievement of engineering and architecture that extends the boundaries of design for a house? As a result, it has become a “must see” for visitors to Poissy, on the outskirts of Paris, France.
The architect. Le Corbusier, was part of the Parisian avant-garde and was a founding member of the International Congress on Modern Architecture (or CIAM), launched in 1928.
Since 2016 17 sites spread over seven countries are Unesco World Heritage sites. They are a testimonial to the invention of a new architectural language that made a break with the past, trying to invent new architectural techniques to respond to the needs of society.
